The Usage

Q. How should I take MediOlive® Olive Leaf Complex (OLC)?
A.
When used as a health supplement most people take 5mL (one metric teaspoon) two to three times per day with food. If people find the bittersweet flavour too strong, they simply dilute it with fruit juice or wash it down with water. Due to their smaller size, children (over two years) can take 2.5mL (half metric teaspoon) two to three times per day with food or juice. Taking the OLC on an empty stomach 30 minutes before food allows it to be absorbed more quickly into the body but some people may find that the flavour is too strong to be taken on an empty stomach. Each person has their own preferred method of taking their OLC. It can be beneficial for certain mouth conditions to swill the OLC in the mouth for about five seconds prior to swallowing.

Q. Is it possible to take too much MediOlive® Olive Leaf Complex?
A.
Like any concentrated natural product, too much of a good thing may be harmful. However, from all indications (scientific LD50 tests, laboratory research, case studies and widespread use over many years) MediOlive® Olive Leaf Complex is a natural, non-toxic health supplement.

Q. How can I use MediOlive® Olive Leaf Complex topically?
A.
Simply dab the liquid onto the area of skin. This direct application method may assist in the relief of some skin conditions. It is most effective topically when combined with internal use on a regular basis.

Q. Can I take MediOlive® Olive Leaf Complex as a daily, ongoing part of my diet?
A.
Yes. Many people use the liquid at 10-15mL per day for months and years on end.  It has been developed as a daily food supplement to be taken as an ongoing part of your good health programme.

Q. Are there any long-term negative effects from taking MediOlive® Olive Leaf Complex?
A.
None that we are aware of or that have been highlighted in the research, case studies and widespread use of the liquid.  More than 80 million doses have been consumed worldwide and no significant negative side-effects have been reported.

Q. Can MediOlive® Olive Leaf Complex be given to infants and children?
A.
This will depend on the country you are in.  Under Australian law we cannot recommend MediOlive® Olive Leaf Complex, or other health supplements, for children under two years of age.  For children over two years, the dosage should be proportioned down from the adult dosage as advised by your health care professional or according to their bodyweight. For your child's wellbeing our product does not contain any artificial flavours, colourings, preservatives, alcohol, sugar, lactose, starch, yeast, gluten or animal products.

Q. Are there any known side effects to taking MediOlive® Olive Leaf Complex?
A.
There are no known precautions or side effects caused by taking MediOlive® Olive Leaf Complex. Some people occasionally experience what is known as the Herxheimers Effect or "Die-Off" Effect. This is a detoxification reaction (rather than a side effect), which occurs due to the rapid effectiveness of the OLC in the killing of large numbers of offending microbes in the body. This leads to the need for the body to get rid of the dead microbes (toxins) from its system, and if there is an overload, it may in turn lead to some of the following short-term symptoms - fatigue, diarrhoea, headaches, muscle/joint aches or flu-like symptoms. The severity will vary from person to person depending on the nature of their illness, the volume of toxins in their system and the amount of liquid being taken.
Drinking plenty of water between doses will assist the body to flush out the excess toxins and reduce any reaction. While these reactions may be mildly unpleasant initially, they are a sign that the product is doing its work.  To reduce the intensity of any reaction people may choose to stop taking the liquid for 24-48 hours and then restart on a smaller dosage. There are no toxic chemicals used in the preparation of MediOlive® Olive Leaf Complex and all processing techniques and ingredients are passed by the Therapeutic Goods Administration of Australia.
